This course is taught in Finnish! Students preparing to attend the Keskitaso YKI exam are invited to attend this course! Of course, if you just want to improve your writing skills, this course will come in handy too. In this course, the goal is to practice the writing skills required to answer exam questions! In each class, we will learn vocabulary related to our topics and find mistakes in writing. We will also go through pre-written texts for mistakes. We focus on answering questions based on giving opinions and feedback. In our classes, we also have interactive brainstorms! After class, students will be assigned two writing assignments to complete. In the last lesson, the students are given a writing task to complete in the class in a timed environment. All writing tasks in the course are based on previous exams to better prepare students on what to expect on the exam. Suggested language level to enter this course is A2.

UNIT 1

• Introduction to past writing assignment and discussion to find mistakes

• Learn content vocabulary and focus on expressing the pros and cons of a subject.

UNIT 2

• Reflect on the previous writing assignments and focus on correction

• Learn to give feedback to an institution

UNIT 3

• Reflect on previous assignment and focus on correction

• Learn how to suggest making improvements

UNIT 4

• Final quiz. Students are given an allowed time to complete the writing assignments under the pressure of time.
