Welcome. You’re right where you’re meant to be.
You’re here because you’ve heard about the myriad benefits of yin yoga (the physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual) and you’re curious about getting started.
Or, like many, you’ve reached a point in your life where you’re ready to slow down and practice more self-compassion.
Whatever your reasons are, we’re here for you.
“Learning to surrender to the practice, turn inward and to embrace whatever you’re feeling in the moment, is one of the bravest things you can do.”
If you want to learn every aspect of yin yoga so that you can guide students through powerful and healing yin yoga classes then you are in the right place!
While “yang” styles of yoga, including Hatha, Vinyasa and Ashtanga, focus on your muscles, yin yoga targets your deep connective tissues, like your fascia, ligaments, joints, and bones. It’s slower and more meditative, giving you space to turn inward and tune into both your mind and the physical sensations of your body.
The practice of yin yoga is based on ancient Chinese philosophies and Taoist principles which believe there are pathways of Qi (energy) that run through our bodies. By stretching and deepening into poses, we’re opening up any blockages and releasing that energy to flow freely.
