DescriptionWe are excited to introduce an in-depth, 8-hour+ course on Aviation Weather Observing taught by an experienced aviation meteorologist. We didn't cut corners in the development of this course- you'll learn here! This course is specifically aimed at those who want a deeper understanding of how weather fits into the aviation industry and exactly how to observe the current weather conditions and encode them into meteorological aviation reports (METARs). Following successful completion of this class, each student may move forward with pursing a career with the FAA (or contractor) observing weather at commercial airports - with average pay ranging from $12/hr to over $40/hr.
