About VMware Certified Professional – Data Center Virtualization
This exam validates you have the skills required to successfully install, deploy, scale and manage VMware vSphere environments. Successful candidates demonstrate mastery of these skills and abilities.
Knowledge Required
A candidate for the VCP6-DCV certification has approximately six months of experience working with a vSphere implementation. They are typically infrastructure personnel who are capable of installing and configuring ESXi Hosts and can use VMware vCenter™ Server to monitor, manage, troubleshoot and administer virtual machines.
The successful candidate will most likely have additional industry-recognized general IT certifications or equivalent experience (typically 2-5 years).
