Steps to Family Creation – An overview on the key steps needed to be implemented to create all families according to best practice

Creating Frameworks – Learning how to create a frame using the Reference Planes within Revit, allowing for structure and accuracy when producing content

Parameter Definition & Types – An overview of what parameters are and how they can be used to make our families dynamic, changing to suit our needs

Exploring Geometry Creation – Users are taught the 3D creation tools within Revit with group exercises allowing them to get to grips with extrusions, sweeps, revolves and more

Parametric Arrays – Understanding how to produce arrays in families and learning how to apply parameters to manipulate them

Nested Families – Understanding how families can be nested within one another and an overview of mapping parameters between both parent and child families

Family Types, Controls & Visibility – Exploring how to create family pre-sets, creating symbolic lines and how to change a family’s visibility based on the project detail level

Understanding & Applying Formula – An exploration on how to add arithmetic to family formula, allowing for more dynamic changes to the appearance and properties of the family
