"Project Thinking for Non-Project Managers" - 2 hours on-demand video in English (+ Russian cc), 38 downloadable resources - templates in English and in Russian and sketchbooks for every lesson, 2 contact hours of education for PMP exam!
Now it is difficult to find person who first encounters projects in his workplace or personal life. But for many, the first attempt leaves only a negative experience.
Incessant mess in everything, constant switching between tasks, daily changes, reconsideration and, as a result, insufficient recognition of efforts. This is how up to 90% of participants in projects in which I took part describe their first experience.
"Project Thinking for Non-Project Managers" online training is designed for those students who participate or lead project activities, but are not a professional project managers.
My goal is to help you figure out why everything is not the same in projects as in Business As Usual, how to find your place in the project team and how to help the project manager bring the project to a successful conclusion.
The best option for completing this training is an online marathon. One day, one lesson, one practical work and reflection on the experience gained.
We will talk to you in simple language about complex concepts and tools. You will try to apply both classic, waterfall models of project management and modern Agile approaches such as Kanban and Scrum.
I will draw sketches for you and visualize information for better learning and remembering. You can download a sketchbook of each lesson to your computer.
I want to form the right expectations for our marathon:
Do not hope that after this one course you will become a professional project manager - you are at the very beginning of your journey in this field;
We will not use any project management standard or methodology as the basis for all training and will not prepare you for a professional certification such as PMI PMP (c) or PRINCE2 Practitioner (c);
You will not receive the magic wand or silver bullet that will lead your project to "successful success".
But,
You will get a proper introduction to the new, wonderful world of project management;
We will talk about complex things in simple language, based on my practical experience and your common sense;
You will be able to understand what and why the project manager will want from you, what should and should not be done in the project and how to help the team complete the project on time, within the budget and so that the customer also needs your project's deliverables;
And if needed, you can earn 4 contact hours of education for this training that is required to be admitted to the professional certification exam.
Welcome on board and good luck to you!
