This course is designed to develop an understanding of topics fundamental to Calculus study. Emphasis is placed on analyzing trigonometric functions in multiple representations, correct and oblique triangles, vectors, polar coordinates, conic sections, and parametric equations. Upon completion, students should be able to select and use appropriate models and techniques for finding solutions to trigonometry-related problems with and without technology. This course serves as the first in a series of courses in Precalculus Trigonometry that aim to give students a solid foundation to start learning. The introductory topic includes:

Section 1: Students will learn the following topics relating to arc length and area of the sector:

1) Arc Length in Degrees

2) Radian measure of an angle

3) Arc measure in Degrees and Radians

4) Area of the sector in Degrees and Radians

5) Exam Problems-Area of sector and arc Length.

6) Circular Motion

Section 2: Basic concepts of angles

7) Angles in Standard Position

8) Coterminal Angles

9) Reference Angles

Section 3: Unit Circle and the unit circle

10) Basic Trigonometric Functions

11) Unit Circle
