This course includes 5 modules of evidence-based material which covers topics such as: introduction to parkinson's disease, occupational therapy role with parkinson's disease, treatment for parkinson’s disease (pharmacological and non-pharmacological), and resources for those with parkinson's disease and their caregivers.

This course can be completed by individuals with parkinson’s disease or their caregivers, occupational therapy or physical therapy students, and/or healthcare professionals such as occupational therapists and physical therapists.

Within this course, there are 5 modules and 2 knowledge quizzes. Knowledge quiz 1 covers material from modules 1 and 2, and knowledge quiz number 2 focuses on material from modules 3 and 4. Passing each knowledge quiz allows you to move forward through the course. The total course time is 36 minutes, not counting the two knowledge quizzes, which should take about 5 minutes each.

By the end of this course, my hope is that you will have increased your knowledge of parkinson’s disease, of occupational therapy and their role with parkinson’s disease, increased knowledge of available treatments for the disease, of the LSVT BIG training protocol, and have increased awareness of available resources – both locally and virtually.
