As a parent cyber safety consultant, I draw on my personal experience, work experience and education to help parents empower themselves with knowledge so they may better protect their children online.

The internet is not age segregated and many parents find themselves in need of advice, educational tools, and support to navigate it!

In the first half of the course, I will cover the ‘why’ we need to know. I will go over with you some risks our children face once online and will explain what some of the mental health-related issues are that can arise when a child is unsupervised online.

The second half of the course will focus on the ‘how’ and what you, as a parent, can do to keep your child safe. This is a tricky area for many parents, and many parents struggle to know how to address these issues. I will explain how to educate your child about body safety — education that applies to both the online world and the physical world.

And, in the final module, I will provide some tips and strategies which you can use to implement in your home to prevent some of the risks I discuss from occurring.
