You have 90 minutes to answer up to 60 questions for the LPIC-1 and 60 minutes/40 questions for the LPI Essentials. In order to pass you must spend many hours in the Linux environment so you are familiar with the commands and utilities tested in the syllabus. You must also take practice exams so you learn how to apply your knowledge to questions.

The four practice exams will prepare you for the real thing as every syllabus topic is covered multiple times.

The LPIEssentials exam costs $120 to sit and the LPIC-1 exams are $200 each. the average first time pass rates are well under 50%.
