What is the Product Owner?
As previously mentioned, the Product Owner is the link between the customer and the team. He is therefore the one who, within the team, carries the vision of the product. He is the privileged interlocutor of the users. He/she must be very available, both for the users and for the team. However, his skills are not limited to the business domain since he actively participates in the sprint and more particularly in the implementation of tests. He or she also fosters team dynamics by providing recognition at the end of each sprint when the product is presented to the customer.
One of the Product Owner's major responsibilities is therefore the prioritization of items. This is also one of the topics most often discussed by those who are new to this position. To define the priority of each item, the Product Owner has a certain number of tools or, more precisely, a list of factors to take into account:
The importance of the functionality for the customer
The initial estimate given by the team
The experience provided
The risk factor
