Description
"I am interviewing for a PM position in two days. This course boosted my confidence, and gave me valuable insight into key PMBOK areas I haven't considered since I received my PMI certification in 2012. Also, I am able to improve my resume, as I now understand how certain PM functions I've been performing for years are much more valuable than I thought. Great course!" – Dan Bischoff, PMP
Complexity is the challenge in project management. Therefore, the PM process must reduce complexity, not add to it.
This complete course is the practical companion to the PMI PMBOK. Based on more than 25 years of real world experience managing projects from just a few thousand to $55M, from small non-profits to high-tech startups to aerospace, the course explains how to use the proven Project Management Institute (PMI) processes to manage projects of any size, from any domain, in the simplest and most deeply efficient way. And at the end of the course, you will also receive a certificate that bestows on you the credential of "Practical Project Manager", with the right to append PPM after your name.
The course is end-to-end, comprehensive, and divided into more than 200 easy to digest videos of just a few minutes long. First an overview is provided of all the fundamental PM concepts. Then the critically important role of the Project Manager and keys to team management are described. Then the essential PM processes are mapped across the project time-line, and the specific actions you need to take at each step to bring order to chaos are explained in an easy to follow thread. The use of software tools to support the PM process is explained. Summaries are provided, with quizzes to verify your learning. This course is complete, providing one comprehensive resource with everything you need. At the end of the course, you will not only understand project management, you will be able to implement it in the simplest, most deeply practical way.
You will also receive:
Professional Example. A complete set of realistic, professional PM documentation for the "Magical Devices Version 3" project, including a Project Charter, Stakeholder Register, Requirements Baseline, Work Breakdown Structure, Precedence Diagram, Project Management Plan, Gantt Schedule, Risk Register, and more, that you can reuse as models for your own projects.
Templates. Microsoft Office templates for all the key PM documents, from Stakeholder Register to Project Plan to Final Report.
MS Office Help. The invaluable document "Project Planning With MS Office" that explains how to use Microsoft Office applications to prepare your project's scope, schedule, and budget.
