Candidates for the CompTIA A+ Core Series must pass two exams: Core 1 (220-1001) and Core 2 (220-1002) covering the following new content:
Demonstrate fundamental security knowledge for IT support personnel.
Configure device operating systems such as Windows, Mac, Linux, Chrome OS, Android, and iOS, as well as manage client-based and cloud-based (SaaS) software.

Exam Details
CompTIA A+ 220-1001 (Core 1) and 220-1002 (Advanced) (Core 2)
To be certified, candidates must finish both 1001 and 1002. Exams from different series cannot be combined.
CompTIA A+ 220-1001 exam topics include mobile devices, networking technology, hardware, virtualization and cloud computing, and network troubleshooting.
CompTIA A+ 220-1002 includes operating system installation and configuration, enhanced security, software troubleshooting, and operational procedures.
