Hi there, my name is Gianni and I have been fixing computers for friends and family since I was 15. It was only natural that after years of working random jobs I decided to go back to what I love, IT, and so I got my compTIAA+ certification (this right here, yes, and you will learn how to do that too as I will be teaching you everything I know about IT).
After I got the certification I started working as technical support in IT and it is great.
I am still studying myself when I have time but I thought I could find the time to create a course to help people that want to start a career in IT too :)
This internationally recognized core A+ course includes both the 220-1001 and the 220-1002 parts (it is a two-parts certification with two exams), our goal is to learn in a way so that you have a complete overview of what you need to know. Moreover, parts of the 1001 will cover the same topics of the 1002 so we get some repetition which is good to really store those concepts in your mind.
IT professionals can make anything from $ 30'000 to $150'000 so it's really your responsibility to keep learning and getting new certifications to advance your career.
So here are the steps to successfully start a career in IT:
-Study compTIA A+
-Practice with mock tests online for the 1001 (a google search will give you plenty of free resources. There are paid platforms too like measureup )
-Book your exam on the compTIA website
-Pass the exam
-Practice with mock tests for the 1002
-Get certified
-Apply for entry-level IT jobs
In the course I will also speak about real-life scenarios that you will face as an IT professional, so that you know what to expect from your first job (documentation, use of ticketing systems, logging tickets and receiving support calls) now all you need is patience and the right opportunity will come up :)
Best of luck and thank you for reading this far, hope you will enjoy the course!
