This course is designed for women within or seeking to get into the field of tech (as tech needs you!). Through a series of course videos, lectures, quizzes, and activities, students completing this course will develop their understanding of career development.

To us tech means anyone in tech, any role within a tech company or anyone who is technical!

They will learn to build their foundation within the course by learning the research surrounding the facts about women working in tech. They will take that research further to identify methods of coping with challenges that will allow them to build better careers.

Students who successfully complete this course will be able to identify the factors that impact and increase career and personal resilience, both critical elements in career development. Students will apply the concepts learned within this course to specific real-world scenarios that will allow them to better understand the material.

Additionally, students will develop an understanding of broaden-and-build theory. They will further develop their knowledge of how the theory applies to managing change and embracing experimentation.

They will use their knowledge of the broaden-and-build theory in their career development plan.

By developing this collection of knowledge and skills, students will increase their confidence in their careers. They will identify the various steps needed to develop their career development plan.
