Learn how to draft patterns from scratch , this course is an introduction course that will teach you the fundamentals & concepts needed to create your own patterns that you can use to create your own garments.This course can be taken by all ages that have the ability to read & write with basic math skills.

This course is broken down into different topics for different pattern blocks & manipulations.
If you are a beginner we suggest you take the Courses in the correct order.

This is a full course broken down into 3 Courses.

Course 1 will cover :

Chapter 1

• An Introduction to professional flat pattern-making methods and concepts.

• Terminology of garment and pattern parts

• Pattern marking, universal labeling

• Tools of the trade

• Darts Terminology

Chapter 2

• Learn how to take measurements.

• Drafting the basic bodice block, front & back.

Chapter 3

• Manipulating darts on the bodice block for styling , Manipulating the bodice block to create different patterns , necklines.

• Creating different style lines.

The following will be covered in Course 2 :

Chapter 4

• Drafting the sleeve block to match the bodice block

• Sleeve styling ,manipulating , design variations.

Chapter 5

• Drafting the skirt block , & design variations ( different types of skirts)

Chapter 6

• Drafting the dress block & design variations (different types of dresses)

Chapter 7

• Drafting the pants block & design variations ( different types pants designs)

Chapter 8

• Drafting patterns for a garment from a sketch using blocks created during the course
