This is a foundational course for Microsoft Azure. Students who are interested in taking this exam should have beginners’ basic knowledge of cloud services and how those services are provided with Microsoft Azure. The exam is intended for candidates who are just beginning to work with cloud-based solutions and services or are new to Azure. This course teaches basic ideas and concepts around cloud computing as it relates to Microsoft Azure.

Azure Fundamentals exam is an opportunity for students to prove that they have knowledge of cloud concepts, Azure services, Azure workloads, security, and privacy in Azure, as well as Azure pricing and support. This course is primarily a descriptive course, with little to no hands on required. An Azure portal account is not required but is recommended. Students should be familiar with the general technology concepts, including concepts of networking, storage, compute, application support, and application development as it relates to cloud computing. Students will learn more about these concepts as they go through this course.

Students will learn the basics of Azure compute, active directory, cost and cost controls, OpEx and CapEx, Machine Learning, AI, and other technologies that are changing the way we do work and consume services worldwide. Cloud computing is a fundamental technology, one that has changed how we do work and play, and will continue to have a far reaching effect on how we complete tasks at work, and how we consume technology from Video Games, to Movies to Music, it’s all in the cloud now. This course will help you learn the basics and to see if this kind of technology is the right fit for you.
