Individuals who work in a security capacity and have at least two years of hands-on experience safeguarding AWS workloads should pursue AWS Certified Security – Specialty. We recommend that you have the following items before taking this exam:
At least two years of hands-on expertise safeguarding AWS workloads and five years of IT security experience in building and implementing security solutions.
To create a safe production environment, you must have a working knowledge of AWS security services and features, as well as a grasp of security operations and threats.
Security controls for AWS workloads; logging and monitoring techniques; cloud security threat models; patch management and security automation; approaches to enhance AWS security services using third-party tools and services; BCP and backups, encryption, access control, and data retention are among the disaster recovery controls.
Understanding of specific data classifications and AWS data security systems, as well as data encryption methods and AWS mechanisms to deploy them.
