With an aging population and housing limitations, home accessibility is now more important than ever. In this course we will go over the many ways to make a home accessible for people with disabilities. Whether they use a wheelchair, walker, or cane, this course will be of benefit. We will cover four main areas of a home:

1. Entrances - Getting in and out of home via wheelchair ramps, platform lifts, and walker steps.

2. Bathrooms - Making bathrooms accessible with roll-in showers, accessible tubs, grab bars, roll-under sinks, and more.

3. Kitchens - Being able to use appliances, sinks, cabinets, and counters accessibly.

4. Stairways - Traveling between floors via stair lifts (stair glides).

All which are vitally important to a person's accessibility and independence. Learn the techniques, characteristics, and products that can make these spaces accessible. Utilizing easy to read 3D images and diagrams, this course simplifies what otherwise might be hard to learn.
